A Lokal Foreigner is a personal blog that aims to highlight two cultures, namely, Austria and the Philippines through stories and experiences segregated into Categories: Family, Reflections, Journey, Food, Favorite Things, and Design. More than just an exchange of ideas from two varying continents, A Lokal Foreigner also touches on the sojourn of my day-to-day activities with the different hats that I wear as a wife, mother, daughter, friend and everything else in between -- trying not to get lost in the order and chaos of life’s purpose.

Family - I am, first and foremost, a wife and mother. I’ve learned so much about myself from my husband and kids, making me the person I am today. Here, I talk about the many joys and challenges of parenting, being a hands-on daughter to my mom, relationships, and situations that make up my tribe.
Reflections – It may be a random thought that suddenly popped up, a line from a movie or a fascinating book, or mundane things such as seeing a candy wrapper on the street that reminded me of my childhood. Reflections is a storytelling of perceptions that have made my psyche do a double take.
Journey – Traveling is not just about getting from one place to another, for my family and I, the word journey means so much more – it’s about learning and self-discovery that you can never learn from books or school alone.
Food – These are gastronomic delights that ignite the soul and pave the way for new culinary discoveries to behold.
Favorite Things – It may be the must-have piece that I cannot live without or something as simple as having a choice pen. These are different knick-knacks that tickle my fancy.
Design – As a graduate of Interior Design, I could not have a category dedicated to art and architecture or design in general. This space is all about the creative expression of yesteryear as it spearheads itself into the future set amidst a rendition of personal sketches.
